Your battery, plus four thousand others.
Instead of one big power station feeding the grid, a VPP coordinates thousands of home batteries to discharge at the same moment when wholesale prices spike — usually a heat-wave evening or a cold winter morning. The grid gets cheap, distributed firming. You get paid for the kilowatt-hours.
Payments come in three flavours and most programs combine two: an upfront sign-on credit ($200–$600), per-event payments (15–25c/kWh on top of your normal feed-in tariff during a dispatch), or a higher daily feed-in tariff that bumps your standard rate. Read more in our independent VPP guide.
Five mainstream programs. Picked to suit you.

Picking the right program is not retail roulette.
Your retailer will sign you up to their VPP. Whether it's the best program for your battery brand, your state's wholesale market, and how often you want your battery dispatched — that's not the retailer's problem. Our consultant works backwards from what suits you, not what their sales team is paid to push. Same fee whether you join Tesla, Reposit, or none of the above.
